Simply apply for the card. In about a week to ten days, you will receive your card in the mail. Once you activate the card, you can use direct deposit to add funds to your card from your pay, a tax refund, or benefits payments. You can also load money at more than 98,000 locations nationwide. Step 2 - Activate

  • When your card arrives in the mail, call the toll free number printed on the sticker on the back of your card.
  • Follow the phone prompts to activate your card.
  • Remove the sticker and your card is ready to use.

Step 3 - Load Money

  • Load money at thousands of Western Union agents nationwide.
  • Load money with a Green Dot MoneyPak which you can find at Kmart, Wal-Mart, CVS, Rite-Aid, Kroger, Ralphs, 7-11 and many thousands of name brand stores.

Prepaid Debit Card

The MiCash prepaid MasterCard is a reloadable prepaid debit card that works wherever debit MasterCard is accepted. You can use it on the MasterCard debit network either through a signature transaction or providing a four-digit PIN number to pay for gas, restaurant bills, car rentals, hotels, airline tickets, food, clothes, you name it. You "prepay" for purchases by loading your card with your own money, and pay only a low monthly account fee and a per-transaction fee. Unlike many one-time use gift cards, you can use it with a wide variety of merchants and "reload" it with more money, month after month, for as long as your account is active.If your card is lost or stolen, we'll send you a replacement card.
